The bins are separate from the container and really arangable. I frequently take a bin out of it to the function place without carrying the whole container - I acquire that extremely handy.
The bins are held particularly securely by protrusions in the lid when the container is closed. I definitely appreciate this style. It locks the seperate bins in location when the best is closed. It has a clear and durable lid. The snaps on the front are particularly solid but could be a bit aggressive for those with less powerful fingers. On the other hand releasing the snaps is carried out with minimum edges hurting your fingers (so you do not cringe too a lot when having to open it). The snap closures will unquestionably hold the lid shut. The deal with is fairly powerful and not sharp as are several, many plastic handles. The units interlock when stacked. You can label the deal with with a decent degree of certainty that the label will not come off due to texturing. The only complaint I have, and it is a persistent one particular with virtually all storage MFRs., is that the bins should really have a radiused front walls for easy removal of smaller items.
I am a mech./plastics style engineer and for what it really is worth, this is a rather great item (no i don't work for Stanley). Get 3 or 4 for that special a person. I'm stocking up as you read this :-)
