Some assembly is necessary, but there are no directions. You have to figure it out from the photos and seeking at the pieces you have. But it's mostly assembled. Also, it was a bit "tippy" till I figued out to place the second to last "arm" on the glass forward and the final arm heading to the back. (This puts far more weight to the front.)

Picture getting a small box full of rattling components, amongst which is a magnifying glass. I believed it was all broken prior to I opened it, just from the rattling. Nicely, the lens is scratched but I can reside with that. But the little box has all the pieces like wing nuts and base loose, with no instructions for putting it together. Entirely unassembled. I am positive I can figure it out, but the notion that they shipped all of this in a loose box bouncing around says so substantially about the manufacturer and the seller.
I wouldn't do organization with them once more, and I'll place up with the scratches for the reason that I need this by Thursday. Additionally, it arrived a day later than was projected.
