Flex-O-Matic automatic door sweep automatically raises to clear the carpet. When the door is closed, the door sweep automatically lowers to firmly press against floor or carpet.
As the door opens, the spring action door sweep automatically raises to clear the carpet. When the door is closed, the door sweep automatically lowers to firmly press against floor or carpet. Can be trimmed, but should be equal on both end. Not advised to trim much less than 32".

This sweep works really well but it needs very careful and precise installation particularly when your door bottom is not level and swings over uneven tile like ours. It functions when door bottoms don't as in our case.

I had just received this in the mail from Ace Hardware and when shocked when I opened the box and discovered it to be bent. At 1st I was irritated that the post office would harm my merchandise...but then I realized that the box it was in was perfectly intact, I put the door sweep in the box and realized that the retailer had applied a box that was also little and so they purposely crammed it into the box in order for it to fit. To add insult to injury they have a %10 restocking fee and you have to spend to ship the item back to them. Considering the $9 that I paid for the item, it really is just less complicated to consume the price and try to make it function.
